Sultan Vetiver is one of Turkish Nishane's most aromatic dark scents, whose blend of dry, classic vetiver from Java and Haiti and newly oiled leather sums up many memories of yesteryear. Thoughts fly to the time when powerful sultans conquered Constantinople and the Arab world, but we also get scent associations with childhood breezes and grandfather's newly polished leather shoes. The woody spicy notes of the vetiver root meet us in the opening, together with a sharp, aspiring absinthe and soft chords of neroli and bergamot, which via the sweetness of the tonka bean land on a base of leather and amber.
